A separate contact form on the website is not used. We delete the data arising in this context once storage is no longer necessary, or restrict its processing if statutory retention obligations apply.
The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry pursuant to Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR. If your enquiry is aimed at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1) lit. b GDPR.
4. Cookies
Our website uses one technically necessary cookie to store your language preference (German/English) and to display your preferred language on a repeat visit. This cookie does not transmit any data to us or to third parties for analysis, marketing or tracking purposes. As this cookie is technically necessary for the functioning of the website, no separate consent is required pursuant to Section 25(2) No. 2 of the German Telecommunications-Digital-Services-Data-Protection Act (TDDDG, formerly TTDSG). The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest in a user-friendly presentation of the website (Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR). Storage period: 1 year.
5. Hosting
The hosting services we use are provided for the purpose of offering the following services: infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, security services, and technical maintenance services, which we use for the purpose of operating this website.
In doing so, our hosting provider processes personal data of visitors to this website on our behalf, on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Our hosting provider is:
STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany
6. Photographs and Video Recordings
Photographs and video recordings may be taken at our courses, prácticas and events, which we use for our public relations activities, in particular on this website, on social networks (Instagram, Facebook) and for promotional materials. A corresponding notice is displayed at our events. In conjunction with this notice, participation is deemed to constitute implied consent to the creation and use of such recordings within the meaning of Sections 22, 23 of the German Act on Copyright in Works of Visual Arts (KUG), insofar as these are group photographs in which no individual is recognisably in the foreground (legal basis: Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Sections 22, 23 KUG). Every participant has the right to object to the recording and publication of their person at any time (see also Section 9 of our Terms and Conditions).
In addition, for selected occasions we engage professional photographers, for example for marketing and website purposes.
We obtain separate, written consent from each person depicted pursuant to Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Sections 22, 23 KUG before publishing such recordings. This consent covers the purpose (e.g. website, social media channels, promotional materials), scope and duration of use, and may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. Consent may be withdrawn informally by email; recordings already published will be removed promptly following withdrawal, insofar as this is technically possible and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Recordings are only used for as long as consent remains in place or the respective purpose of use (e.g. a specific advertising campaign) continues.
7. Student Testimonials
We publish testimonials from our students on our website. These are only published with the prior consent of the respective individual (Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR). In order to minimise the personal reference, we generally only publish the first name and abbreviated surname (e.g. "Maria S."), not the full name. The data subject may withdraw their consent at any time with effect for the future by email; we will then remove the entry from the website promptly.
8. YouTube Videos
We embed videos from the provider YouTube on our "Shows & Workshops" page. The operator is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (parent company: Google LLC, USA).
The videos are embedded in a privacy-friendly manner: when the page is loaded, only a preview image is initially displayed (retrieved from a Google server, without any cookies being set or usage data being transmitted to YouTube). Only when you actively click on the preview image to play a video is a connection established to YouTube. At that point, YouTube may, among other things, record your IP address, set cookies and analyse your viewing behaviour; this may also involve a transfer of data to the USA.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR), which you grant by actively clicking on the video. For further information on how your data is handled, please refer to the privacy policy of YouTube/Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy
